Variable Horizons, Echo 1, 2, 3, & 4 is an investigation in linking the visual undulation of a tree lined horizon with a medically recorded heart rate. In this series of images, dominance has been given to a section of my son’s  heart rhythm. Portions of silhouetted landscapes, as pochoir printed photographic halftones of trees and foliage, are fit into the predetermined heart-trace ‘horizon line’ represented through drawn textile patterns. The result depicts an echo of a segment of life, inter-changing time with a fictitiously constructed place.
