These text-based works remove the legibility & the information that is offered on the page by filtering that visual information through penmanship mistakes. After charting the mistakes of my handwriting over the course of a year only the areas of the actual ‘mistake’ in written line were isolated.   A composite for each letter’s mistake was compiled and -using photo polymer type set plates- new type for a typewriter was created & replaced. In this new typo-image, bank statements, credit card bills, and financial information notices were re-typed in the new text, which leaves format as the only indication to the viewer that ‘information’ traditionally would reside there.
